What's coming — 29th September 2026

This article covers upcoming functionality and user interface updates to the platform. These changes will go live on the 29th September.

Added Functionality

Undo Jump

When you use a Jump to location navigation element, Definely will show an Undo Jump button at the bottom of your screen.

This button remembers the document location you were at when the first navigation button was pressed: clicking Undo Jump will return you to your previous location.

If you chain multiple navigations, scroll through your document as you do so, it doesn't matter: Undo Jump will take you back to the location you were at when you first clicked a navigation button in Definely.

This feature will activate when you use a Jump to location button in Read, Proof, or Cascade.

Text Inserts by Enhance

Enhance's editing engine has been rebuilt. Enhance now shows a proposal card with a redline preview of what it's about to insert before making any change, so you can see the intent and choose whether to proceed.

User Interface Updates

Read

Defined term and clause cards get more space. Actions you can take are clearly present at the bottom of the card, separated from search and navigation.

The Show more button is more clearly labelled.

The ability to see the locations in which the terms are referenced is available under Occurrences, while the Matching Case(s) dropdown has been replaced with a three-dot menu.

The reports get a lighter, less saturated colour palette.

The separate defined / undefined / unused toggle tray is folded into a single filter panel. The same filtering, with one place to do it.

Exporting selected rows is now opt-in via checkboxes. For the purposes of exporting, everything will be treated as selected by default, unless you select particular items from the list.

The "global orb" toggle is now labelled plainly as global search.

Proof

Filter and Select behaviour now matches that of Read. Otherwise, only aesthetic changes.
