Highlights
Choose Keyword or AI Search in Vault
Vault search now has a clear mode selector. Choose keyword search or AI Search from a dropdown, and the selected mode stays visible so you always know which search will run. Advanced Filters are switched off in AI Search, with a tooltip explaining why, and come back when you switch to lexical (keyword) search.
Enhance inserts paragraphs at the right numbering level
Enhance can now place an inserted paragraph at the level you'd expect: the same level as the paragraph it follows, one level deeper, further out, or as plain text outside a list. A new lead-in under a clause heading, or a new definition after a sub-list, is no longer pulled into the numbering, so the clauses after it are not renumbered.
Enhance edits are tracked word by word and keep your formatting
When you accept a replacement card, each changed part of the paragraph is written as its own tracked change. Words you haven't changed are left alone, and the card no longer rewrites the whole paragraph. Bold headings and bold defined terms keep their formatting too.

Read
Inspect overlay: definition and clause bodies no longer show bullet markers in front of every list item. A definition such as "Shares" now reads as plain text, matching its Home card. Nested items keep their indentation, and numbering that is part of the clause text, such as (a) or 1.1, is still shown.
Annotations: annotations now restore themselves if they disappear from the document.
Definitions keep your edits: paragraphs you have edited since the last scan stay marked as changed until the next rescan. Every refresh of a definition now includes all of them, including when it is loaded again after its cached text goes stale or in the Inspect overlay. Definitions with overlapping paragraph ranges no longer lose each other's edits, and a rescan clears them.
Consistent "Extract" wording: the gaps and changes export pages now say Extract in their headings and descriptions, with Export Document on the button. Read's Extract Changes drawer and the Generate Gaps List heading, menu and dialog buttons use the same wording (Extract Gaps, Export Document).
Gaps list export: exported reports now open in Word through separate, timed steps, rather than all at once.
Proof
Cancelling a scan: if you cancel a scan, or it fails, Proof now goes back to the previous scan's results. Previously, Fix on a missing cross-reference showed "we couldn't insert that cross-reference" until a scan completed.
Vault
Search mode: Keyword or AI Search dropdown, with Advanced Filters disabled in AI Search (see Highlights).
Downloads: documents in the company vault that did not come from a document management system can now be downloaded.
iManage sign-in banner: when you are signed out of iManage, the sign-in banner now fits the pane with the same side spacing as the content below. The Login button is no longer cut off and the tab no longer scrolls sideways.
Cascade
Large documents: Cascade now waits up to about two minutes for change extraction (previously about 25 seconds). Large documents with many tracked changes, which can take a minute or more, now load their changes instead of failing with "Changes job timed out". A job that never completes still fails after about two minutes.
Enhance
Compare card titles: compare cards now read "Review against" followed by the name of the document you compared against, for every workflow. Previously the term sheet workflow showed "Review against precedent". Long names are shortened, with the full name in a tooltip.
Inserting paragraphs:
Accepting an insert card adds its paragraphs before or after the paragraph it is anchored to, in order, as tracked insertions, with that paragraph's formatting.
They land at the same level as the anchor, or one level deeper for a sub-paragraph. If the anchor is not in a list, a sub-paragraph is indented one step further.
An insert still applies after a replacement from the same set of suggestions has changed its anchor.
Paragraphs can also be inserted further out, or outside a list (see Highlights).
If the document has changed since the scan, or the anchor's text no longer matches, the card shows "update failed" and stays pending.
Deleting paragraphs: accepting a delete card removes that run of paragraphs as one tracked deletion. If the document has changed since the scan, or any paragraph's text no longer matches, the card shows "update failed" and stays pending.
Replacing text: each change is written as its own tracked change, and existing formatting is kept (see Highlights). A pure insertion goes next to the neighbouring word without adding an extra redline. If a change cannot be located, or touches a field, the card is refused with a clear reason.
Accepting several cards: accepting one card no longer makes the others from the same set of suggestions fail as out of date. This also holds with automatic refresh on, where the rescan now waits until no card is pending. If Word reports that its paragraphs have changed underneath a card, the next accept recovers rather than failing again.
Cross-references and footnotes: cards now apply to paragraphs that contain a cross-reference or end with a footnote or endnote mark, instead of being refused as a content mismatch. A real change to the wording is still refused.
Inserting a clause: if a step after the clause has been written fails (for example, numbering it), the card is now marked accepted, no error appears, and the document is flagged for rescan, so accepting again cannot insert the clause twice. In that case the clause may be unnumbered. If the failure happens before anything is written, you still see the error and the card stays on Accept.
General
Tab focus ring: clicking a tab no longer shows the keyboard focus ring, which appeared in release 3.62.0. Keyboard navigation with Tab and the arrow keys still shows it.
